Carry on Bags:

You are allowed to carry one personal and one carry-on luggage in the journey. Your bags must fulfill the general requirements given below or pay the American airline's luggage fee according to the type of bags:

 

• The dimension of your personal bags should not exceed 18 x 14 x 8 inches or 45 x 35 x 20 cm in height, weight, and length. 
• The carry-on bag must come under the dimensions of 22 x 14 x 9 inches or 56 x 36 x 23 centimeters. This will include the wheels and handles to calculate the size.
• Your personal item must fit appropriately under the seat in front of you.
• If your personal bag dont fit properly, then it will be considered as carry-on luggage.
• The carry-on luggage exceeds the general requirements; it will be calculated as checked luggage.

Excess or Oversized Bags:

If your bags cross 126 inches or 320 cm in total, American airlines will not allow the bags to carry on the journey. For bags more than 62 inches or 158 cm, an excess luggage fee will be calculated between $100 to $200.
